KazMunaiGas is going to attract partners for new exploration, President of KazMunaiGas Lyazzat Kiinov said at a press conference in Astana.
"KazMunaiGas can't find a solution to issues of exploration for 10 years. And any oil company should mainly be engaged in increasing own reserves. It is a challenge of every oilman," Kiinov said after the signing of two documents with head of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov.
Kiinov said KazMunaiGas has set its sights on increasing the work of exploration.
"But the exploration of oil and gas - is not an easy job and does not always give a positive result. Therefore, we choose partners for exploration and will pay attention to those companies with which we have a good relationship. Lukoil is among them," he said.
