Net profit of Uzbekistan post, national postal service operator, has grown by 18.3 percent in 2011 compared to 2010 - up to 4.38 billion soum, stated in the company's annual report, published on Monday in the media.
Net revenue of Uzbekistan post has grown by 18 percent - to 97.44 billion soum, the cost of rendered services increased by 21.9 percent - up to 65.317 billion soum.
Gross profit increased by 11.2 percent - up to 32.122 billion soum, including the operating profit grew by 8.5 percent - to 5.21 billion soum, general economic activity - by 14.7 percent to 6.088 billion soum.
Assets of the company amounted to 131.757 billion soum in 2011, 21.93 billion soum of which - long-term assets, 109.83 billion soum - current assets.
Own funds of JSC Uzbekistan post increased by 14.7 percent and amounted to 25.993 billion soum at the beginning of 2012, the liabilities - by 9.6 percent to 105.764 billion soum.
According to the company, the postal department sent a 917.2 thousand of money transfers in 2011 compared to 894.6 thousand the previous year (an increase of 2.5 percent), totaling 5.29 billion, increasing by 24 percent compared to 2010.
In addition, 92.4 thousand parcels was sent last year (an increase of 2.9 percent) in the amount of 1.539 billion soum (increase by 13.3 percent), and also provided services for sending 14.056 million letters (down 0.1 percent) in the amount of 3.352 billion soum (up by 12 percent).
Currently, the structure of Uzbekistan Post includes 14 regional branches, consisting of 189 district and municipal assemblies, about three thousand post offices, three specialized branch - Halkaro Post Office, Halkaro Tezkor mail, Marcas Uzbekistan.
