Fluctuation in oil prices on world markets and its drop below the level of $100 is not a threat to Azerbaijan's state budget, Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov told journalists on Tuesday.

"We see no special risks to the country's state budget. While prices fluctuate and thee oil price was above $110 for the year, there could be some fluctuations, but it does not matter," he said. "We think there will be no serious problems," he added.

However he said certain risks for the global economy still exist.

"The situation in the debt markets of the Eurozone countries creates the most serious risk for the global economy. In general, we believe that this will have no negative impact on oil prices," Sharifov said.

As a result of adjusting projected parameters of the state and consolidated budgets of Azerbaijan for 2012, the oil price forecast has increased from $80 to $100 per barrel.
