Azerbaijan ranks third after Iraq and Iran for wood imports from Turkey, the Council of Exporters of Turkey said in its report on its official website on Tuesday.
The volume of wood imports into Azerbaijan in the first half of 2012 grew by 27 per cent compared to the same period of 2011 and amounted to $120 million.
Wood exports from Turkey to Iraq amounted to $322 million and to Iran $151 million. The total wood exports from Turkey in the first half of 2012 grew by 14.7 per cent compared to the same period of 2011, amounting to $2 billion.
Export of wood products from Turkey to Azerbaijan increased by 15.7 per cent and amounted to $15 million in January-June 2012.
