Tariffs for cargo in the transport sector increased by 0.5 per cent in June compared to May, the State Committee on Statistics said on Thursday. According to the report, the tariffs for passenger transport increased by one per cent in June.
Last month, the average tariffs for transportation of 10 tons of cargo per kilometre imported into the country by rail fell by 3.3 per cent. This is while the tariffs on goods exported from the country by rail, transit and freight transport within the country have increased respectively by 1.2, 1.8 and 8.5 per cent.
The tariff for international passengers travelling by rail increased by 8.5 per cent in June. Those for air passengers to non-CIS countries rose by 2.1 per cent and in the CIS countries - declined by 1.9 per cent.
The tariffs for the transportation of oil through pipelines increased by 0.8 per cent in June compared to May.
