Uzbekneftegaz announces tender for construction of three compressor stations

National Holding Company (NHC) Uzbekneftegaz announced international tenders for the construction of three booster compressor stations (BCS) in Kashkadarya region in the south of Uzbekistan with total starting price of $394.21 million, the holding said on Monday.

In particular, a tender for the construction, equipment supply and engineering of BCS-2 on the field Shurtan starting price of $190.68 million is announced. BCS-2 with capacity of 40 million cubic meters of gas per day is designed to pump additional gas supplied to the existing station.

The company also announced a tender for equipment supply for BCS on the field Northern Nishan with starting price of $123.75 million.

BCS with a capacity of six million cubic meters of gas per day is designed to maintain gas production at the field on annual level of two billion cubic meters of gas to the end of 2020.

The third tender was announced for production, supply equipment and engineering of DCS North Shurtan and GS Shurtan with starting price of $79.78 million.

The bids will be accepted until August 16, 2012, the results of tenders will be revealed in late September - early October.

Financing of the BCS construction will be at own expense of NHC Uzbekneftegaz and credits of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan.

The capacity of NHC Uzbekneftegaz allows to provide natural gas production in the volume of 70 billion cubic meters and liquid hydrocarbons in the amount of eight million tones per year.

Oil production in Uzbekistan decreased by 5.8 percent in 2011 compared to 2010 - to 1.889 million tons, of gas condensate - by 9.8 percent, to 1.696 million tons, natural gas - by 4.4 percent, to 63.04 billion cubic meters.

Production of liquefied hydrocarbon gases fell by 1.3 per cent - to 258.5 thousand tons.
