Azerbaijan, Baku, July 26 /Trend I.Khalilova/
The process of creating a centralized system targeted state social assistance in Azerbaijan will be completed before the end of 2012, the Department of Public Relations of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the population told Trend on Thursday.
"The appointment process and the issuance of targeted assistance in a centralized manner will cover the whole country by the end of the year. Masalli , Ujar, Jalilabad districts, as well as Sabunchu, Binagadi and Sabail districts of Baku are chosen as pilot areas for the appointment of targeted assistance directly by the Ministry of Labor and not by the local social welfare centers as it was until now," the Ministry said.
Accordingly, it will be possible to receive plastic cards for targeted assistance at banks - agents of the Ministry of Labor, which are Kapital Bank and the International Bank of Azerbaijan.
"It will save time and minimize the contact of citizens with government officials, which will ensure financial transparency in the payment of social aid," the Ministry of Labor said.
Azerbaijan moved to a system of targeted social assistance in 2006. Its size is determined based on the difference between "needs criteria", which amounts to 84 manat from 2012, [75 manat - in 2011] and the amount of income per family member.
