Azerbaijan’s non-oil GDP growth exceeds 10 percent

Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 1.6 percent or 476.5 million manat in January-July 2012 and hit 30.8 billion manat at current prices, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend on Tuesday.

Some 67.4 percent of GDP was formed in production, including 52.3 percent - in industry, 9.6 percent - in construction complex, while 5.5 percent - in agriculture.

The share of services in GDP was 26.5 percent, including services in transport sector - 4.9 percent, and services in trade and paid services - 8.4 percent, in the sphere of communications - 1.7 percent, and the share of social and other services - 11.5 percent.
Some 6.1 percent of GDP accounted for net taxes on production and imports.

GDP per capita on average hit 3,364 manat (4280.9 U.S. dollars), increasing by 0.2 percent.

GDP in the non-oil sector grew by 10.5 percent, in non-oil - decreased by 6 percent.

The official exchange rate is 0.7855 AZN/USD on Aug.14.
