State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan plans to increase revenue

The State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan plans to increase its revenue to 2.6 billion manat in 2013, the fund's chairman Salim Muslimov told reporters on Wednesday.

Revenue and expenditure of the State Fund budget for 2012 is projected at 2.454 billion manat, which is 13.3 per cent more than in 2011.

"Projection of the fund's budget for next year is already prepared, but will be considered. The projected forecast revenue exceeds 2.6 billion manat," Muslimov said.

He noted that the growth will allow the fund to provide an increase in both the insurance and the basic part of labour pensions next year.

"Strengthening of measures to combat illegal employment contribute to the growth of income. Therefore the Ministry of Taxes provided information about 200,000 people for only two last months," Muslimov said.

The SSPF income for January-August increased by 21.5 per cent, or 287.1 million manat compared to the same period last year and amounted to1624.6 million manat.
