The Parliament of Turkmenistan of the fourth convocation adopted the law On the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2013, the official Turkmen source said.

The revenue of the state budget amounts to 86.335.8 billion manat with expenses - 89.735.8 billion manat. In recent years, the official rate of the manat to one dollar remains at - 2.85 Turkmen manat.

The budget for 2013 provides for a 10 per cent increase in wages and government benefits, as well as a 15 per cent increase in pensions. From all sources of funding provided to send to industrial, social and cultural spheres of the economy, this amounts to 47.4 billion manat.

The revenue part is formed through such industries as oil and gas, chemical, power generation, construction. The budget also provides for sustained development of the agricultural industry, transport, telecommunications, textile and food industries.

It is expected that revenues will continue to grow through further development and support for non-state enterprises.

A significant increase in payments for the construction of new facilities of the national tourist zone Avaza, the construction of social and cultural values, industry and transport as well as the communication infrastructure in the capital and regions of the country is provided.

Next year, the largest budget expenditures accounts for centralised capital investments and their size will be increased by 42 per cent amounting to 9.1 billion. Funds allocated to education will increase by 15.7 per cent, health care 10.8 per cent and culture 22.6 per cent compared to last year.

Revenues were provided at 74.908.4 billion manat with expenses at 76.398.4 billion manat in the approved state budget for 2012 a year ago.
