The first meeting of the co-chairmen of the Kazakh Swiss Business Council will be held in Zurich today, the Kazakh National Atomic Company "Kazatomprom" said today.
During the meeting, the Swiss side will be represented by Peter Spuhler, president of a large railway company "Stadler Rail Group". The Kazakh side will be represented by Vladimir Shkolnik - head of "Kazatomprom" company.
Vladimir Shkolnik and Peter Spuhler will discuss organizational issues of establishing the Council, including its structure and composition, frequency and venue of meetings," the statement said.
"It is planned that the council board will include such Kazakh large companies as "Kazatomprom" company, "Kazakhstan Temir Joly" company, "KEGOC" company, Kazakh National Economic Chamber "Atameken Union" and representatives of Kazakh small and medium-sized businesses," a statement said.
Besides a working meeting with Peter Spuhler, several meetings are planned to be held with businessmen.
In particular, Vladimir Shkolnik, and member of the Board of Directors, transnational pharmaceutical company "Novartis International AG" senior Advisor for the relations with the government Alexander Yettser have discussed the investments in Kazakhstan.
Chairman of board of the Kazakh nuclear holding company has held the talks with representatives "Hitachi Zosen Inova" company led by commercial director and head of Kazakh project Gonzalo Mesa. Hitachi Zosen Inova is a leading global supplier of technologies and contractor in the field of energy from waste treatment. In this regard, the main topics of conversation were renewable energy sources and using energy efficiency resources in Kazakhstan.
"Kazatomprom" company chairman of board will meet with representatives of the Union of Swiss companies (Economiesuisse), the swiss Association of Chambers of Commerce (JCC) and the Swiss Agency for Trade Promotion (OSEC). Vladimir Shkolnik will discuss the opportunities to improve the use of the great potential of economic relations between the countries with representatives of the Swiss businessmen.
KAZATOMPROM is the national operator, of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for import and export of uranium, rare metals, nuclear fuel for power plants, special equipment and dual-purpose materials.
