The European Union- Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) has issued another guide, funded by the EU, for Georgian exporters on export of non-animal origin products from Georgia to the EU market.

The European Union- Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) has issued another guide, funded by the EU, for Georgian exporters on export of non-animal origin products from Georgia to the EU market.

The purpose of publication is introduction of Georgian businessmen to Georgian and the EU regulations governing the production, processing, distribution, export of products of non-animal origin by example of herbs, bay leaves and nuts, as well as international standards, allowing them to export their products to European markets.

The EU Ambassador to Georgia Philip Dimitrov expressed satisfaction over the project and noted that cooperation with the Georgia -EU Business Council will contribute to implementation of reforms in the country within the negotiations for a comprehensive trade area.

According to the Chairman of the EUGBC Board of Directors Emmanuel Haton, the publication will be a useful and practical tool for Georgian exporters who are interested in the export of plant products to European markets.

"This will promote improvement of Georgian entrepreneurs' actual knowledge on European trade," he added.

Speaking on the project goals, the Secretary General of the business council Kote Zaldastnishvili said the publication, which is written in simple and accessible language, will denounce Georgian entrepreneurs important information on the different aspects of food exports and this will contribute to the export of Georgian products to European markets.
