The draft state budget for 2013 meets the current challenges and provides financial support for the welfare of the population, Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan Heydar Asadov said during the discussion of the draft state budget for 2012 and the next three years at a joint meeting of the five parliamentary committees.
"The budget expenditures are projected at over $ 25 billion for the first time, which is a record," Asadov said.
According to the draft, the revenue of the state budget is projected at $19.154 billion manat (34.2 percent of GDP projected for 2013), expenses - 19.81 billion manat (35.2 percent of GDP).
The revenues will exceed the planned targets for this year by 2.116 billion manat, or 12.4 percent, Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov said during the discussion of the state budget.
Expenditures will grow by 12.1 percent in 2013 compared to 2012, by 28.7 percent - compared to 2011.
Share of income in the country's GDP will grow by one percent, compared to predicted data for the end of 2012, spending - by 0.9 percent.
"The budget deficit is forecasted at the level of 656 million manat (1.1 percent of GDP) compared to the forecast for 2012 at 634 million manat (1.2 percent of GDP)," - he said.
