Creation of new enterprises to lead to 18 percent increase in non-oil industry of Azerbaijan

More than 170 new enterprises were commissioned in Azerbaijani regions in the first half of the year, creation of more than 450 companies is underway.

This was said on Tuesday by the Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev during discussion of the bill on the state budget for 2013 and the next three years in parliament.

"The launch of more than 50 industrial enterprises and production sites in the first half of the year was the result of the industrialization policy. Creation of more than 120 industrial enterprises in the fields of textile and textile industry, paper processing and production of cardboard, plastic pipes and other plastic products, construction of a factory for the production of cardboard and containers, electrical equipment plant is underway, " Mustafayev said.

According to him, increase in non-oil industry up to 18.1 percent in 2013 and 11. 2 percent per year on average- in the next three years is expected as a result of these measures.

The growth of the chemical industry by 66.4 percent in 2013, by 18.7 per cent per year on average - in the next three years is expected.

"The growth in the chemical industry is expected through increasing the production capacity of enterprises operating in this sector, their modernization , as well as expanding the range of products," Mustafayev said.
