The number of companies registered in Turkey has increased by 14.25 percent in October 2012 compared to the previous month and hit 3,700 companies, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey said in its report on its official website on Friday.
The number of enterprises in trade sphere, established in October increased by 2.7 percent, cooperatives - by 20.8 percent.
The total number of enterprises closed down during the period increased by 23.7 percent compared with the previous month, the number of liquidated commercial enterprises - by 29.9 percent, cooperatives - by 44.9 percent. The number of enterprises closed down in October hit 1,300 companies.
Compared to October 2011, the total number of registered enterprises decreased by 30 percent, commercial enterprises - by 6.5 percent, and cooperatives - by 1.6 percent.
According to the report, the number of enterprises closed down within the year decreased by 13.75 per cent, enterprises in trade sphere - by 4.6 percent, cooperatives - 2 percent.
