Iran non-oil exports up 33 percent

Iran exported over $25 million worth of non-oil goods in the first seven months of current Iranian calendar year, which began March 20, the IRIB News Agency reported.

The figure shows 33 percent increase compared to the same period of time previous year.

Iran plans to exports 51 million dollars worth of non-oil goods and technical and engineering services by the end of current year (March 19, 2013).

"Iran earned 4 million dollars last year by exporting technical and engineering services to over 60 countries," deputy head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran Kioumars Kermanshahi said in October.

Earlier in October Deputy Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Hamid Safdel said that Iran exported 37 million tons of non-oil goods worth 21 billion dollars in the first six months of current Iranian calendar year, which began March 20.

Iranian Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari also announce on October 19 that Iran exported over 21 billion dollars worth of gas condensates in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began March 20.

The amount shows 30 percent increase compared to the same period previous year.

Iran also imported 26 billion dollars worth of non-oil goods in the first six months of current Iranian calendar year, the head of Arabian-African Commercial Office for Trade Promotion Organization of Iran Seyyed Hossein Hosseini said on October 24.

Iran exported $43.7 billion worth of non-oil goods last year and imported $61.8 billion worth of goods, to hit the unprecedented mark of $105 billion in annual trade.
