Four branches and more than 15 departments of the Azerbaijani Bank Technique were closed for over the past six months as a result of the evaluation of all organisational units of the bank, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bank Technique Rovshan Ismailov told Trend today.

"We have decided to eliminate the structures which don't give positive expectations now or in the future. These structures are certain departments, branches and subsidiaries of the bank," Ismailov said.

He noted that there are 32 branches and 15 departments of Bank Technique in Azerbaijan. Ismailov added that the retail market will be the guideline for the bank.

"Bank Technique will provide services in the retail market introducing upgraded products and services. The bank intends to depart from the classical model of banking to reduce the physical structure by replacing some of them by upgraded electronic branches," Ismailov said.

He noted that the project is under development and the first such office will soon be created in Azerbaijan.

"One of the main objectives of the bank is to create remote banking which is also aimed at the retail market. It will be created for each client of Bank Technique who will be able to get any bank services remotely via the Internet, mobile phone and other means. We plan to convert all products offered by the bank in electronic format including the receipt of loans and deposits," Ismailov said.

He noted that the bank is studying both local and foreign markets and is planning to introduce the best innovative systems and products which today can be claimed in Azerbaijan. Ismailov added that the bank intends to keep those customers who used its services during structural changes as well as attract new ones.

"Until the change of management in May 2012, the bank had some positive experience in working with clients. One of its most important aspects was a low cost of banking services and despite the profound changes in the strategy and management of the bank, we maintained its positive quality of customer service while constantly improving the quality and efficiency of service which has helped to preserve and increase the customer base of the bank, the actual number of which exceeds 25, 000," Ismailov said.

Bank Technique whose name before rebranding was Texnika Bank has been operating on the banking market since 1993.
