Temiz Seher (Clean City) is preparing to announce a tender to choose a company to conduct construction work in the eco-industrial park in Balakhani, Temiz Seher board chairman Zakir Ibrahimov told Trend on Thursday.
"Design operations are being conducted," he said. "After these operations, a tender will be announced to determine a company which will carry out the construction work."
Establishing Balakhani Eco-industrial Park is considered as one of the tools for the development of re-production in Azerbaijan within the 'State programme on development of Baku and its settlements in 2011-2013'.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree in late 2011 to establish the Balakhani Industrial Park in Baku. Waste processing plants and service companies will be created on this area and Temiz Seher will manage the industrial park.
The Economic Development Ministry obtained the seven hectare plot of land for the industrial park from SOCAR's Balakhanineft Oil and Gas Department.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to ensure construction at Balakhani Industrial Park.
It is planned to initially allocate two million manat envisaged in the state budget for 2011 of the Azerbaijani President's Reserve Fund to the Economic Development Ministry to ensure the construction of Balakhani Industrial Park, bringing the land into a usable condition, create an internal and external infrastructure (facilities of electric and thermal energy, gas, water, sewerage, communications, transportation, fire protection, administrative, social and other infrastructure facilities) and other services for the effective implementation of consultations and laboratory examination.
The main purpose of creating this park is to create good conditions for potential entrepreneurs and investors interested in sites for re-production. The government promises to ensure all the required conditions and render the necessary support for the mechanical processing and production installations.
The proximity of the industrial park to the Balakhani landfill and incinerator, including the traffic layout creates favourable conditions to provide enterprises with raw materials and energy, as well as for the delivery of goods to the sales market.
It is planned to build an external and internal infrastructure on the park for potential entrepreneurs and investors to increase interest in 'green' business and mostly for waste recycling. Roads will be laid as an external infrastructure. The electric power, gas, sewerage lines and communications will be brought in. A waste registration desk will be crated at the entrance to the park.
