Consumer inflation in Georgia hits 0.1 percent in November

The inflation rate in Georgia was 0.1 percent in November 2012, compared with the previous month, Georgian Statistics Service told Trend on Monday.

Formation of inflation rate was affected by change in prices for the following product groups: prices for a group of food and beverage products rose by 0.3 percent, therefore, the share of the group in the formation of inflation was 0.1 percent in November. A significant increase in prices of this group was recorded in the following subgroups: vegetables and melons (three percent), bread and bakery products (1.4 percent), coffee, tea and cocoa (two percent), prices fell for fruit and grapes (2.9 percent).

Prices for the health care group increased by one percent. Consequently, the share of the group in the formation of inflation was 0.08 percent. The rise in prices was recorded for outpatient medical care (2.3 percent).

In the fields of housing, water, electricity and gas supply prices fell by 1.8 percent. The share of this group in the formation of inflation in November stood at -0.14 percent
