Iran indigenizes 38 petrochemical know-how
Managing-Director of Iran's National Petrochemical Company (NPC) praised the Iranian experts and engineers for their great achievements in petrochemical research, and said that the NPC's experts have indigenized 38 technical know-how in the sector, IRNA reported.
Abdolhossain Bayat made the remarks in the Research and Technology Festival of Iran's oil industry.
He said that the technical know-how achievements were related to different petrochemical areas including processing, catalysts, petrochemical materials and new technologies.
Taking advantage from competitive privileges, boosting self-sufficiency and coping with sanctions were the main targets of attaining technical know-how in petrochemical sector and 'today we are sure that survival of each industry depends on implementation of research projects and performing its results', NPC's chief said.
Referring to the petrochemical industry's plans to become the first country in the region in view of technologic aspects of the industry, Bayat said petrochemical sector needs the government's support in order to achieve its targets on commercializing the technical know-how achievements.
He noted that after launching the commercialization units, Iran turn into an exporter of different kinds of technical know-how in petrochemical sector.
