Hungarian companies are ready to invest in agriculture in Georgia.

This said Hungarian Ambassador Sandor Szabo at the meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of Georgia David Kirvalidze, the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia told Trend on Wednesday.

He conveyed the message of the Minister and the invitation of the Hungarian colleagues.

Details of cooperation under the memorandum, filed between the authorities of the two countries, were discussed.

The Ambassador gave the Minister about those of the Hungarian companies working in the agricultural sector that are willing to invest in Georgia.

Sandor Szabo also spoke of the complexities that have experienced Hungary and other Eastern European countries in the period of transition, noting that Georgia has the opportunity to use their experience in any direction, including in agriculture, making it easier to process.

Hungary considers one of the leading EU countries in terms of development of the food industry and agriculture. One-third of its exports are agricultural products.
