Asian Development Bank announces tender to construct final section of major motorway in Azerbaijan

ASC Azeryolservis has announced a tender for the construction and completion of the Masalli – Astara motorway section C, financed by the third tranche of the Multi-tranche Financing Facility of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), which allocated the finds for the highway’s construction, ADB said in its press release on Tuesday.

ASC Azeryolservis has announced a tender for the construction and completion of the Masalli - Astara motorway section C, financed by the third tranche of the Multi-tranche Financing Facility of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), which allocated the finds for the highway's construction, ADB said in its press release on Tuesday.

Deadline for the submission of bids - 17:00 (local time) on April 4, 2013. Tender participation fee is 200 manat or $250.

This civil works contract includes the construction of 19.9 km of dual carriageway highway on a new alignment, two grade separated interchanges, eight bridges as well as drainage works.

The bank has already allocated $200 million for the reconstruction of the Masalli-Astara Road and the Azerinshaatservis Construction Company was chosen to construct the first section.

This road project, approved in August 2007, is financed by the Multi-tranche Financing Facility.

Some $400 million has already been allocated for the construction of the Masalli-Astara Road from the first ADB multi-tranche package for road construction to the amount of $500 million.
