The Azerbaijani brokerage company Qarant Invest, included in ZQAN Holding, has ceased operating, chairman of the holding board Vagif Hasanov told Trend today.
The company's main activity is to render meditation services in the field of investments in international financial markets to its customers.
"We anticipated that we will actively participate in the securities market and further establish the company," he said. "We made investments and examined the market in 2012. But in the last quarter of 2012, we decided to liquidate the company. At present, taking into account that the agricultural sector is a priority for us, we decided to reduce participation in the financial sector."
Qarant Invest was established in August 2011. It received a license for brokerage activity for a period of five years from the State Securities Committee in November.
On January 18 ZQAN Holding celebrated its eighth birthday. During this period, the holding has been operating in the field of construction and building materials, banking, insurance, telecommunications, hotel business, transport, cargo transportation, real estate governance as well as in other spheres.
