Kazakh ENRC announces production results in 2012

Kazakh metallurgy group Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation PLC (ENRC) announced production results for 2012.

Kazakh metallurgy group Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation PLC (ENRC) announced production results for 2012.

The company's aluminum production during the reporting period remained at the level of 2011 and hit 249,000 tons.

In the forth quarter of 2012 the company produced 62,000 tons of aluminum (a 1.6-percent decrease compared to the forth quarter of 2011).

Ferroalloy production in 2012 increased by 1.6 percent and amounted to 1.754 million tons. Ferrochrome production rose by 0.7 percent to 1.338 million tons.

Alumina production fell by 9.6 percent to 1.510 million tons in 2012.

Chrome ore extraction hit 4.715 million tons (2.6 percent increase), manganese ore extraction reached 2.764 million tons (1.5 percent increase). Iron ore extraction decreased by 5.2 percent to 40.996 million tons.
