Such famous hotels as Hilton, Marriott, Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons will be built in Kazakh city of Astana by EXPO-2017 exhibition, Astana's mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov said.
"Such buildings as the Opera House, Library, Fund of the First President, National Defense University, Indoor City, multifunctional complex Abu Dhabi Plaza, Hilton, Marriott, Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons hotels, Martial arts palace with 5,000 seats and Ice Palace will appear in Astana," Tasmagambetov said.
According to the city mayor, the international contest was earlier announced for EXPO - town project development.
"The project will be approved by the International Exhibition Bureau in October this year, then in early 2014 the construction will start," he said.
The international specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 will be held in Astana. "Energy for the future" will be the theme of the exhibition. A special national company was established for holding the exhibition at a high level.
EXPO has been held since 1851. The International Exhibition Bureau (BIE, Bureau International des Expositions) was created in 1928, which is the primary authority for registering the world exhibitions.
