Five Kyrgyz mines will be put up for auction in 2013, 24.kg reported with the reference Kyrgyz State Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources reported.
Among the mines identified for auction are Jerooy gold mine, Togolok gold mine, Tegenek coal mine and Chaartash and Akkart marble mine.
Jerooy gold mine with 80-100 tons reserves will be the first mine put for auction in 2013. The mine is estimated at 4.1 billion soms (100 soms = $2.09). The deadline for bids is May 3. The starting price for the mine hit $300 million.
The second mine which will be put for auction is Togolok with 17 tons gold reserves. Its total cost hit 697.4 million soms. The budget should receive at least $ 30,000 from the deal on the sale of the license for its development.
Mineral reserves of the Tegenek coal deposit are estimated at 50 million tons. The deposit is estimated at 8.6 billion soms. The budget should receive at least $150,000 for this deposit.
Chaartash marble mine's reserves hit 3.12 million cubic meters, Akkart marble mine's reserves are estimated at 2.42 million cubic meters. Kyrgyzstan expects to get at least $ 100,000 for Akkarta mine, and at least $80,000 for Chaartash mine.
