Iran will provide the domestic markets with over 1.16 million tons of tomato in near future, official with the Agricultural Jihad Ministry Naser Tavakoli said on Saturday.
Some problems in distribution system caused a temporary shortage in the market, which resulted in a rise in a tomato price, the IRNA News Agency quoted Naser Tavakoli as saying.
Iran has no problem in producing agricultural products, he said.
The country's agricultural products exports faced 85 per cent increase in the previous calendar year, which ended on March 20, compared to the same period of the previous year.
