The Azerbaijani Accounting Chamber may utilise its powers which allow the freezing of accounts belonging to organisations if the budgetary and other organisations do not execute the provisions of the Accounting Chamber, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Accounting Chamber Heydar Asadov told journalists on Tuesday.
He added that last year the Chamber sent about 100 regulations, but the facts of their non-execution were not recorded.
The Chamber conducted 68 audits in 2012 compared to 46 in 2011. As a result of the inspections conducted jointly with the Finance Ministry, criminal cases were filed against three taxpayers. The cases were submitted to law enforcement agencies. As a result of the audits held jointly with the Attorney General's Office, some 2,250 manat have been returned to the state budget.
