Azerbaijani, Georgian customs administrations increase efficiency of cooperation

Customs administrations of Azerbaijan and Georgia will sign an agreement on mutual cooperation, head of the Department for Foreign Relations of the Georgian Customs Administration Samson Uridia told reporters in Baku on Monday.

Customs administrations of Azerbaijan and Georgia will sign an agreement on mutual cooperation, head of the Department for Foreign Relations of the Georgian Customs Administration Samson Uridia told reporters in Baku on Monday.

He said a contract will be signed within the visit of Georgian Customs Service's delegation to Baku.

"The contract is a good legal basis for efficient cooperation between customs administrations of the two countries, will enhance the activity of economic operators, improve the quality of customs control," Uridia said.

He said the contract has been prepared in compliance with the standards of the World Customs Organization.

"The goal of Georgian customs officers' visit to Azerbaijan is to strengthen our good relations. Customs administrations of Azerbaijan and Georgia are strategic partners," Uridia said.
