At least 6800 transactions were cancelled due to technical problems at the Borsa Istanbul on May 7, The Lira newspaper reported on Tuesday with reference to the Burse's official website.
According to the report on the cancelled transactions, were those of developing countries. It is reported that the technical problems had been solved and the market continues working normally.
The Borsa Istanbul (BIST) consolidating the Istanbul Stock Exchange and Istanbul Gold Exchange started operating in Turkey on April 5. Index operations on the burse have been conducted since the second quarter of the current year and exchange operations will start by the end of the year.
The potential of BIST is expected to hit 32 transactions per second. Previously the capacity of Istanbul Stock exchange was 24 transactions per second.
