Real GDP growth in Kazakhstan will remain at 6 percent in 2013, Kazakh Economy and Budget Planning Minister Erbolat Dosayev said Tuesday at the government meeting in Astana, Prime-minister's web site reported.

"Real GDP growth in Kazakhstan in 2013 will remain at the approved level of 6 percent," the Minister said.

The nominal GDP is expected to reach 34.291trillion tenge (151.10 tenge = $1) in 2013, which is $ 2.331 trillion tenge less than the previous forecast.

The decrease in the forecast resulted from expected slowdown in the steel, chemical industry and decline in metal prices in the world.

"The inflation is expected at the approved level and does not exceed 6 -8 percent corridor," Dosayev said.

Oil prices in 2013 are forecasted at $100 per barrel.
