Kazakhstan, Astana, 12 June / Trend D.Mukhtarov /

Some eight billion tenge ($ 1 - 151 tenge) will be trabsfered from the state budget of Kazakhstan for geological exploration in 2013, Chairman of the Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies Bazarbai Nurabaev said.

"Eight billion tenge was allocated for geological exploration in 2013, including the Ak Bulak program, Nurabaev said at the IV International Mining and Metallurgical Forum "Astana Mining & Metallurgy" (AMM-2013).

However, he added that this amount will not be insufficient. According to him, payments for geological information as well as its declassification, including information about the development of the resource base, have been terminated in order to increase the investment attractiveness of the industry.

"We plan to gradually increase this amount. About 60 billion tenge should be invested in geological explorations by 2019," the head of the committee said.
