Kazakhstan, Astana, July 4 /Trend D.Mukhtarov /

Thanks to the implementation of a Unified Information System (UIS) 'Technical Inspection' and database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, the traffic police inspectors in Kazakhstan have the opportunity to carry out checks for availability of inspection coupon and its authenticity via on-board terminals on service vehicles, including at "Frontier" posts, the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry of Kazakhstan reported on Thursday.

As a result of the pilot usage of this mechanism more than 3000 failures to perform maintenance were revealed.

The Unified Information System (UIS) 'Technical Inspection' was developed by the committee of transport control of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the implementation of the new order of inspection for the purpose of improving the quality and objectivity of the procedure.

Currently, during a technical inspection the information on the status of the motor car is automatically sent to the 'Technical Inspection' UIS. Accordingly, in the case of use of a forged certificate on inspection, this fact will be revealed with the technical inspection of the motor car via the system.

Complete non-use of paper certificates of technical inspection and transition to an electronic system of control will be possible after the adoption of the draft law 'On Road Traffic' which is currently being considered by the Parliament of Kazakhstan.
