Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan announce joint competition in energy and agro-sector

The Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Committee for the Coordination of Science and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced a joint contest of science and research projects.

In order to realize an Agreement, Turkmenistan's Academy of Sciences and the Committee for Coordination of Science and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan announces contest since September 28, 2012 on implementation of scientific research projects on following directions:

1. Energy, including effective use of energy
2. Renewable energy resources and new technologies
3. Agriculture and water industry
4. Health care
5. Protection of environment

Requirements for participants:

- Joint project proposals should be primarily agreed upon by Turkmen and Uzbek participants and then registered in Turkmenistan's Academy of Science in below mentioned time

-The projects are implemented by the collectives of Turkmen and Uzbek scholars which can include aspirants and students

-The name of the project should be the same for Turkmen and Uzbek applications

-Only project proposals framed in accordance to the contest provisions will be accepted for viewing

-A scholar has the right to submit only one project as a manager

-Projects in which a name and content matches the name and content of any implemented planned theme will not be accepted.

The responsibility for following the latter provision is imposed on the project manager
The set of the documents for participation in the contest can be obtained in Turkmenistan's Academy of Science.

Complete sets of documents for participation in the contest are accepted until August 16, 2013.
