In January-July of 2013 Georgia imported from Azerbaijan 63,690 tons of building materials in the amount of $11.57 millions, according to a report of GruzStat (National Statistical Service of Georgia).
On an annual basis the import of gypsum, anhydrite, and other materials from Azerbaijan to Georgia increased by 60.83 per cent (in quantitative terms- by 2,980 tons).
For comparison: in the first seven months of 2012 Georgia imported from Azerbaijan 60,710 tons of building materials in the amount of $7.19 million.
The share of this category in the import from Azerbaijan constituted 3.63 per cent for the reporting period.
In January-July 2013 Georgia imported from Azerbaijan product in the amount of $318.56 million. In total, In January-July 2013 Georgia imported from Azerbaijan product in the amount of $4.19 billion that is 5.1 per cent less in comparison with the same period 2012.
