The issue of connecting the railways of the two countries was discussed during the meeting between Azerbaijani Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Akhoundi, Iranian news agency IRNA said on Saturday.
The sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the transport sector during a meeting in Istanbul, highlighting its importance in the development of economic relations between the two countries.
A delegation led by Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov is on a visit to Istanbul. The eleventh Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communication Forum dedicated to the investment opportunities in the global transport was held there.
