The Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan announced an international tender.
The tender is for the construction of the Bereket-Etrek railway (Iran-Turkmenistan border), in particular, a turnkey contract for the completion of the previously remaining project and construction of a locomotive depot at Bereket station.
For financing this part of the project, the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan will use a loan from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
The Railway Transport Ministry of Turkmenistan invites bidders to send sealed bids for contract number TKM/ICB/02.
The application period is open until December 31, 2014.
The tender will be conducted in accordance with International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures, specified in the
guidelines for procurement of goods and works under IDB financing (as amended); they are open to all valid participants, as specified in the guidelines.

A complete set of bidding documents and the submission of a written application in English can be purchased by interested bidders at the address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $ 500.
Method of payment: payment to the cashier at the Ministry or a money transfer to the bank account indicated below.
Applicants who transferred the money to the bank account of the Ministry should send a receipt to the e-mail of the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan: [email protected].
The document will be given the applicant (or his authorized representatives) or sent by e-mail (for applicants who have paid via bank transfers).
All bids must be accompanied by a tender security in the amount of two percent of the value of the tender, or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency and shall be delivered to the address below from November 21, 2013, 15:00.
They will be opened at the address below in the presence of bidders' representatives who will wish to participate.
Late bids will be rejected.
