Main priorities of Azerbaijan’s customs policy for 2014-2017 announced

All customs duties in Azerbaijan will be paid in non-cash form.

This direction is one of the main priorities of Azerbaijan's customs policy for the coming years, the country's socio-economic development concept for 2014-2017 said.

In addition, the priorities include the improvement of customs administration and development of the customs system based on transparency, improvement of customs procedures and legislation, in accordance to the most advanced norms and standards to facilitate trade, improving and the development of a unified automated management system in the field of customs and customs tariff policy, improving the efficiency of customs control.

"The year-by-year expansion of the geography of Azerbaijan's trade and economic relations, increase of the volume of export-import operations and deepening of Azerbaijan's integration into the international economic system requires a flexible customs policy," the concept said.
