The Tajik embassy in Azerbaijan invites Azerbaijani companies to participate in a tender for identity card production and issuance, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Fund (AZPROMO) said on Tuesday.
The tender was announced by the Tajik Foreign Ministry and is funded by the country's budget.
Around 600,000 ID cards and the identification card issuance system based on the passport issuance system with an electronic microchip (biometric passports) are planned to be purchased as part of the tender.
