Iran’s Kurdistan tyre factory begins trial run

A tyre factory in Iran's western Kurdistan province has started a trial run.
The first phase of the factory has been completed at a cost of 1.2 trillion rials ($37.8 million based on the price of USD on the free market), the IRIB News Agency reported.
The first phase of the factory has the capacity to produce some one million tyres each year.
Once the factory comes on stream, some 250 direct and 1500 indirect job opportunities would be created.
The second phase of the factory is scheduled to come on stream in 20 months.
Once the second phase comes on stream, the factory's total production capacity would reach five million tyres per year and some 200 direct and 1000 indirect job opportunities would be created.
