Iran, Kyrgyzstan to expand customs cooperation

The Head of Iran's Customs Administration, Masoud Karbasian met on Monday with Kyrgyz parliamentary representatives who are on a visit to his country, the Iranian Administration's press service said.

Vice Chairman of the State Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Government, Talaibek Masabirov also participated in the meeting.

At the talks, the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of exchange of experience and customs information. Karbasian said that Iran is ready to provide Kyrgyzstan with technologies, as well as support the country in the training of specialists in this sphere.

Rules in the sphere of the mutual trade should be simplified in order to increase trade turnover between the two countries, he said.

For this Karbasian proposed to implement the one-stop-shop principle.

According to Masabirov, Kyrgyzstan is ready to enhance customs cooperation with Iran to increase the volume of trade turnover, as well as enlarge cooperation in the sphere of experience and information exchange.
