Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture Heydar Asadov was invited to the international agricultural exhibition that will be held in France in March, 2014.
The relevant invitation was made during Asadov's meeting with a French delegation led by the President of the Supreme Council of France's Jon province of Burgundy region Andre Villers, as well as the Secretary General of the International Organization of Vine and Wine Federico Castellucci, a message from the ministry published on Wednesday said.
The main purpose of the meeting was the discussion of bilateral cooperation in the agrarian sphere.
Asadov said that this meeting is the first one for him as a minister and expressed confidence that cooperation programs between Azerbaijan and France will be further implemented and intensified. According to him, Azerbaijan is ready to proposals by the French colleagues.
Andre Villers in turn also expressed hope that the fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and France will also continue in the future as well. He invited the Azerbaijani minister to participate in the international agricultural exhibition that will be held in France in March, 2014.
The Secretary General of the International Organization of Vine and Wine Federico Castellucci emphasized the great potential of table and technical varieties of the Azerbaijani grape and added that he considers it purposeful to send French experts to Azerbaijan, as well as to hold programs in the sphere of human resources between the two countries.
The parties expressed confidence that such meetings will be regular and bilateral cooperation will further develop.
