The Accounts Chamber of Azerbaijan is preparing a proposal on making changes to the legislation for expanding its authorities, candidate for the post of chamber's chairman, Vugar Gulmammadov said.
Gulmammadov's candidacy for this post is being considered by the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (parliament).
Gulmammadov heads the Accounts Chamber's Department for Supervision of Investments.
According to Gulmammadov, the chamber will present its proposals next year.
"We are also preparing proposals to improve the regulatory framework governing the activities of the Chamber, and working on the draft law on unified financial supervision," Gulmammadov said.
