By Emin Aliyev - Trend: The Education Centre of the State Committee for Securities (SCS) of Azerbaijan will be established before late 2013, head of SCS administration Bakhtiyar Azizov said.
He made the remarks at the 'Doors Open Day' held for journalists on Nov. 28.
"The center will start operating in early 2014," Azizov underscored.
SCS Licensing and Supervision Department's head Farid Rahimli said the development of flexible and effective regulatory measures is a strategic goal of the committee's development.
"In defining the SCS' future activities we are being guided by the State Program on Development of the securities market in Azerbaijan in 2011-2020, approved by the Azerbaijani president," he said.
During the 'Doors Open Day' the journalists were informed about the activity of the SCS Licensing and Supervision Department and fields of its focus. SCS staff also answered the journalists' questions.
