In July 2014, Turkey will start mass production of its first domestic aircraft, the head of the Turkish Aviation Administration (THK) Osman Yildirim said, Sabah newspaper reported on Dec.3.
At the first stage the country will produce quadruple planes, according toYildirim.
Yildirim also noted that after 2017, Turkey is scheduled to begin production of 30-seat aircraft.
"It is expected that the planes produced in Turkey will be used on the country's domestic routes," Yildirim said.
On the price of the plane, Yildirim noted that the initial cost of a model will be 200,000 Turkish liras.
The official exchange rate on Dec.3 is 2,0282 TRY / USD
