Minister: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan have great potential for development of mutual tourism
Baku, Azerbaijan, Dec.10
By Emin Aliyev - Trend:
Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan intend to take measures for the development of cooperation in the spheres of culture and tourism, co-chair of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, Azerbaijani Minister of Energy Natig Aliyev told journalists on Dec.10 on the results of the commission's meeting held in Baku.
"Our countries actively cooperate in this sphere especially through several unions and associations, for instance, International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY). There are held mutual cultural days of the two countries," Aliyev said.
There is also a great potential for the development of Azerbaijani-Kazakh relations in the sphere of tourism, according to the minister.
"Both of the countries have a rich nature and they actively develop their tourism infrastructure. Currently, the number of tourists from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan significantly exceeds the number of our citizens desiring to go on a tourist trip to this country. The reason of this is the little awareness of our citizens of Kazakhstan's tourism potential," Aliyev added.
