Iran, Azerbaijna trade turnover hits $ 431 million

Trade turnover between Iran and Azerbaijan has surpassed $431.446 million during the first ten months of the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 21, 2013), Iran's customs administration reported on Jan. 29.

Iran has exported 2.254 million tons of goods, worth $410.868 million to Azerbaijan during the mentioned period, which indicate an increase of 26.85 percent in terms of volume and a decline of 4.06 percent in terms of value compared to the same period of the last Iranian calendar year.

Iran has imported $20.57 million worth of goods from Azerbaijan during the ten-month period.

The trade turnover of the two countries stood at $36.8 million in the tenth Iranian calendar month (December 22, 2013- January 20, 2014), according to the report.

Iran exported 241,900 tons of goods, worth $34.08 million to Azerbaijan in the tenth Iranian calendar month, meanwhile the country's imports from Azerbaijan accounted for $2.72 million in the same month.

Iran's trade turnover with Azerbaijan stood at $470 million ($448 million exports and $22 million imports) in the first eleven months of the 2013, according to the Iran's customs administration.
