Three dry cargo terminals will begin construction at Kazakh Aktau port in 2014, Kazakh Transport and Communications Minister Askar Zhumagaliyev said at a briefing at the Central Communications Service under the president of Kazakhstan on Feb.3.
The implementation of the project to expand the port of Aktau in a northerly direction will also continue, according to the minister.
"Dredging work in the expanded part of the port's basin began last year," the minister said.
As a result of the port expansion, its capacity will increase to 20.5 million tons in 2015, according to Zhumagaliyev.
