At an extraordinary general meeting of BTA Bank shareholders, the powers of Elena Bakhmutova and Mira Koshkimbayeva on the board of directors were prematurely terminated. Kenes Rakishev and Nina Jusupova were elected as members, the bank said.
"At a meeting of the bank's board of directors on the same day, Kenes Rakishev was elected chairman," the bank said.
The changes in the composition of the board of directors were carried out under a deal on sale of the bank's shares by its main shareholder Samruk-Kazyna JSC to a consortium of investors.
"Maintaining the necessary succession, the new board of directors of BTA Bank will focus on further improvement of effectiveness and optimisation of its activity," the bank said.
