Tariffs for utilities increase in Uzbekistan from Oct. 1

The electricity tariffs will increase from 131.4 to 144.3 soums per kilowatt in Uzbekistan from October 1.
The natural gas tariffs for population and enterprises will increase by 9.9 percent - from 165.24 soums to 181.62 soums per cubic meter.
The tariffs for central heating and hot water will increase by 7.2 percent - from 787.95 soums to 844.67 soums per square meter.
The tariffs for cold water will increase by 5.4 percent - from 294 to 310 soums.
Earlier, the tariffs for these types of utilities increased in Uzbekistan in April this year. Then the electricity consumption tariffs increased by 9.5 percent, natural gas - by 8.9 percent, central heating and hot water - by 11.7 percent, cold water - by 10.5 percent.
It was previously reported that electricity consumption increased by 14.4 percent, gas - by 22.5 percent, central heating and hot water by 19.9 percent, cold water - 17 percent in Uzbekistan in 2013.
